A harbour is the part of a coastal place that stays awake. Masts, water moving against stone, and somewhere to sit while the light goes.
An evening with a direction
A marina gives an evening a destination. You walk out along the water with no particular plan, and the walk itself turns out to be the thing — boats tied up and rocking slightly, reflections breaking and reforming, the temperature finally dropping.
Where the day changes gear
Days on a coast tend to end at the waterfront. The swimming is finished, the salt is washed off, and there is an hour or two of the unhurried time a holiday is actually for. Bring something with sleeves — the air off the water is cooler than the afternoon led you to expect.
